Center School

Built ca. 1796, the Center School is one of six original one-room schoolhouses in Alna, and one of four that remain (including one adjacent to the Head Tide Church and another on West Alna Road that have been repurposed as residences).

Featuring a cupola and bell, the Center School is set up today as a school museum, available for tours by appointment. Please contact the Town Office for further information. (Phone: 207-586-5313)

With a wealth of original artifacts, school groups are encouraged to visit or take a class from a different era.
